The Tag Heuer 45 Connected Modular Full Diamond, which was presented at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva, Switzerland, immediately caught the attention of all attendees. Not only is it a smart watch with excellent quality and presentation, but it is also the most exclusive and expensive smartwatch in the world, with a price of US $197,000.
The body and bracelet of the model is set with 18 carat white gold, a luxury material that combines 589 diamonds to reach a total of 23.35 carats. VVS cut baguette diamonds adorn the watch with: 78 diamonds on the bezel, 16 diamonds on the handles and 495 diamonds on the bracelet.
The Swiss-designed watch includes a wearable device equipped with the latest version of the Android Wear 2.0 operating system, which is currently deemed the best technology in the industry. The operating system includes an Amoled touch screen of 400px by 400px high definition and connectivity systems ranging from GPS, NFC and Wi-Fi within its 100% metallic structure.
The watch’s technical characteristics also include an Intel Atom Z34XX microprocessor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of memory. By having this amount of power and speed high performance rechargeable lithium batteries are required, giving the watch a range of 30 hours of battery life.
In addition to the watch’s other technological features it also incorporates services such as Android Pay. In the future, the watch will have its very own intelligent assistant, which is currently being developed by Intel to compete with Apple’s Siri and Google Assistant.
Another favorable aspect of the model is its modular capacity. Some of the watch’s decorative pieces can be exchanged, or be replaced from a digital screen to a mechanical screen such as a Caliber 5 mechanical module decorated with a diamond bezel that matches the watch’s main design theme.
However, for those who do not fully trust smart watches or for users who worry about spending almost US $200,000 on a technology that will be obsolete in a few years, Tag Heuer guarantees that the watch will always be relevant and in style due to its ability to transform into different styles. The new luxury model is also compatible with multiple bracelets, inserts and closures used in the regular 45 Connected Modular.
Due to its ability to adapt to new styles the Tag Heuer 45 Connected Modular Full Diamond watch is one of the most interesting pieces in the market. You can switch the luxury smart watch to an exquisite mechanical piece, or choose to create a customized watch that is completely unique to the person designing it, making it adaptable to the ultra dynamic rhythm of modern life. ■
