The dream of traveling to see the remnants of ancient and epic empires and idyllic islands became a reality in 2020. On January 6, Crystal Cruises departed from Miami, navigating oceans and seas that captivate the senses, while exploring ancient cultures and dreamy beaches.

Travel the seas and oceans
Crystal Cruises traveled to 47 cities from 23 countries, navigating three oceans and five seas in 105 days. During the trip, the Panama Canal was crossed along with nine islands in the Pacific, including Bora Bora and Papeete in Tahiti.
From there the cruise headed towards the fjords of New Zealand, visiting the city of Queenstown, and then headed to the East coast of Australia and stoped at the Mooloolaba and Airlie Beach spas, on the Great Coral Reef.

After visiting Australia the cruise traveled to Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, with stops in Sri Lanka and Bombay.
Other stops along the way included the kingdom of Oman, Jordan, Egypt and Israel. From there guests traveled to the Mediterranean Sea, stoping by the islands of Aghios, Siracusa, Larnaca and Nikolaos. Finally the last stop on the trip was Rome, Italy where guests experienced the history and beauty of this classic Italian city.

In presenting the specifics of World Cruise 2020, Tom Wolber, president and CEO of Crystal Cruises, said the trip will commemorate its 25th edition. For this reason, “this annual trip of Crystal Serenity, encompasses many of the experiences that travelers have treasured during this cruise over the years.”
He added that those travelers who booked the World Cruise will enjoy special benefits, including: a welcome dinner on board the Crystal Serenity before departure, an additional private car with a driver between the port and the airport, access to two exclusive events on land, a themed party aboard the world cruise and special gifts.

Options to explore
Another perk is that guests also boarded the cruise on its way through Los Angeles, reducing the number of cruise days, limiting the trip to a distinguished experience between Los Angeles and Papeete, in Tahiti. Other options included solely visiting New Zealand and the Australian coast, or traveling through Asia and the Mediterranean.
