Since 1998, Chopard and the Cannes Film Festival have been jointly writing the history of cinema. After the canceled 2020 event, Chopard returned to the famous Palais des Festivals movie theatres to celebrate the historic festival.

Resembling a hanging garden overlooking the sea, the Chopard Rooftop hosted its prestigious guests on the panoramic terrace of the Hôtel Martinez, entirely refurbished for the occasion to reflect a ‘Paradise’ theme chosen by Caroline Scheufele – Co-President and Artistic Director of the Maison.

The Festival also served as an opportunity for the Maison to demonstrate its commitment to cinema and its talents through the Trophée Chopard. For the past 20 years, it has awarded talented actresses and actors to provide a springboard for their careers. This year, Jessica Chastain acted as godmother for the two laureates – Jessie Buckley and Kingsley Ben-Adir – at a ceremony attended by Thierry Frémaux and Pierre Lescure along with an array of industry movers and shakers.

The partnership between Chopard and the Cannes Film Festival is also the story of the Palme d’Or and the other trophies handed out at the Closing Ceremony. This year’s prizes awarded by the jury were crafted in Chopard’s Haute Joaillerie workshops.

Lastly, Chopard, “the red carpet jeweler,” provided a glittering accompaniment for the most talented actresses during the presentation of their films, thanks to the splendid Haute Joaillerie sets crafted in its workshops. This year, the Red Carpet Collection offers a selection of 74 jewelry creations inspired by the ‘Paradise’ theme, embodying a subtle blend of expertise, innovation and creativity.
