The Private Key Club, in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood, was the set of this year’s Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami’s party in celebration of the Lori Brener Scholarship Fund. Created by BBBS in 2006, the scholarship honors the work of film producer Lori Brener. This year’s theme was Bollywood and the guests donned Indian spired attire. There was also an exhibition of the work of local artists and the honoree was Super Bowl champion Darrin Smith.

This year’s big party had Bollywood as a theme of inspiration, so many of the attendees dressed in the Hindu style. Julia Alba was the chair, Miriam Salazar and Sonia Gibson the cochairs and Nayda Raola and Susan Rutrough the chairs of the fabulous auction. The evening also included an exhibition of works by local artists and also paid tribute to Darrin Smith, one of the children that BBBS helped and who is not only today part of the Hall of Fame of soccer at the University of Miami but also has two Super Bowl Champion titles.
