Consistent with the spectacular character of its production line, the company introduced its second model, Fenyr, at the latest Dubai Auto Show. The brand new vehicle prioritizes sportiness over luxury, offering increased engine power and a surprising ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 2.7 seconds and an impressive top speed of 400 km/h (248.5 mph).
Unlike its predecessor, the Fenyr’s design shows angular lines that give the car a sportier aesthetic featuring the straight edges that cut the front hood and the sides, highlighting huge and strong wheel cups.
On the back, it has multiple air vents that configure the vehicle’s aerodynamic profile crowned by the folding rear spoilers and rear optics, which are more discrete than the previous model but with the novelty of a square light brake located in the center of the bumper, reminiscent of those used in F1 racing cars. This more aggressive, muscular and incisive overall appearance defines the competitive nature of the model.
Regarding the engine, Fenyr Supersport is powered by a motor developed in Germany by RUF, which achieved a stunning 900 horsepower in a 4000 cc, 6-cylinder, twin-turbo engine able to generate an impressive torque of 885 lb/ft (1,200 Nm), administered by a 7-speed automatic transmission and double clutch.
Additionally, the whole body of Fenyr Supersport is made of carbon-fiber and complemented by a tubular light-weight aluminum chassis to ensure the lowest possible weight and higher structural strength known to date.
The new supercar by W Motors was one of the major releases at the 2015 Dubai Auto Show and caught the attention of the audience for its stunning design. The release is confined to an exclusive limited series of only 25 units. Its market price has yet to be announced, but considering the $3.4 million price of the Lycar, the Fenyr is likely to become the world’s most expensive sports car. ■
