The German automaker created a partnership with Canadian race bicycle manufacturer Argon 18 to produce the Mercedes-Benz Style Endurance bicycle, which is presumed to be only the first product of a collaboration signed for four years.
This is not the first time Mercedes-Benz stamps its coveted name on a bike. In 2015, Mercedes-AMG associated with German manufacturer Rotwild to launch a mountain bike called the Rotwild GT S. But this is the first time a totally new bicycle was designed only for Mercedes.
Argon 18 may not be as famous as its new partner, but it’s one of the most prestigious bicycle manufacturers in the world and the official brand used by the Canadian Olympic cycling team. The sum of knowledge and experience of both companies has enabled an excellent competition vehicle that carries Mercedes-Benz’s core values: technology, elegance, performance and safety.
Gervais Rioux, president and co-founder of Argon 18, said it was a “big honor” that Mercedes chose them for its new two-wheel project: “It’s a big step for us,” he stated.

Mercedes-Benz is always looking for new opportunities to amplify its product roster. Aircraft, boats, clothing, fashion accessories and decorative objects have adopted its name and unique style, and in some cases the results have been outstanding. The Eurocopter EC145 and the interior design developed by Mercedes-Benz Style for Lufthansa stand out as two of its best incursions out of the four-wheel universe.
These alliances are a powerful boost for Mercedes’ partners in terms of prestige and profits, although the price of the Mercedes-Benz Style Endurance has not been disclosed yet.

The new Mercedes Benz Style Endurance bike has been developed from a carbon fiber frame created by Argon 18. Its low weight body is combined with a specially designed fork that offers flexibility and durability, and absorbs vibrations with great efficiency.

Two options
There are two equipments available for the Mercedes Benz Style Endurance. The first one is the Shimano Ultegra Di2 equipment with electronic shifting, combined with FSA carbon fiber wheel rims. The second version is equipped with the regular version (you may call it “analog”) of Shimano Ultegra and FSA alloy rims.
Both options have hydraulic brakes, Challenge Paris-Roubaix Race tires and are available in six different sizes.

Other luxury brands such as BMW, Audi and Jaguar—with the Dogma K8-S model—have their own high-performance bicycles.
