Many private jets have the disadvantage of short range autonomy, mainly due to their small fuel storage capacity. With the development of new technologies and fuselage designs, the aviation industry has faced the problem. Today the situation seems to be changing with the Falcon 8X by French company Dassault Aviation.
The Falcon 8X offers an astonishing maximum range of 7,400 miles at a cruise speed of 980 kph. The Dassault Falcon 8X stands as the most awe-inspiring private jet, capable of handling long direct flights.

The Falcon 8X, an upgraded version of its predecessor 7X has achieved impressive records. The new fuselage layout , improved aerodynamic profile and new internal structure of wings have allowed these new numbers. These advantages provide greater storage capacity and less fuel weight, despite being even bigger than previous models. The new fuselage boasts three efficient Pratt & Whitney Canada 307D turbines, which deliver better consumption levels, increased pulling power, and lower toxic emissions.
All these technological innovations allow the Falcon 8X to reduce overall fuel consumption by 35 percent compared with its competitors. Another interesting feature of the Dassault is its ability to take off and land in airports with relatively short runways and very pronounced approach angles. In fact, the Falcon 8X is the only private jet of its size capable of operating at London’s airport, whose runway is only 1980 meters (6,500 feet) long, and located in a metropolitan area.
These conditions require rapid elevation on takeoff and sharp landing angles. With capacity for 12 passengers and 3 crew members, the Falcon 8X features a huge master cabin: 13 meters (42.67 feet) long, 1.87 meters (74 inches) high and 2.33 meters (92 inches) wide.

In this ample passenger area, the manufacturer offers more than 30 different modular arrangements —all with the luxury and elegance of private business jets. These include a sitting area, dining room, meeting room, relaxation room, fully equipped kitchen, luxurious bathrooms with showers and a rest area for the crew. The modules can be conveniently adapted according to the owner’s needs and wishes.
The 8X boasts a system to stabilize pressure and oxygen in the cabin to provide a flight experience of supreme quality. While the aircraft is certified to fly at a maximum altitude of over 15,200 meters (50,000 feet), the cabin will keep the environment of a 1,100 meters (3,900 feet) flight, which ensures regular and comfortable pressure and oxygen levels that will not generate additional fatigue during flight. ■
