With completely different personalities and playing styles, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have changed the course of modern soccer. Fans compare them in each goal, dribbling and championship—and in their personal lives, too. The car collections of Ronaldo and Messi reflect accurately their personalities on the field. What do you think if we have their cars playing their own clásico? This is: Ronaldo vs. Messi on wheels!
Ronaldo Cars
Cristiano Ronaldo keeps more than 22 luxury cars in his private garage and usually shares photos of them on Instagram and Facebook. These are his favorite wheels:
Bugatti Chiron. With a W16, 8L engine and 1,500 horsepower, the Chiron is one of the most powerful cars in the world. It reaches a maximum speed of 260 m/h, nothing less. In a limited edition of 500 units, this exclusive sports car is priced around $2.5 million. The star of the Portugal soccer team owns one of them.

Ferrari La Ferrari. This is one of the most exclusive models ever created by this Italian automaker. Valued at more than $1.5 million, La Ferrari has a 6.26L V12 engine and 800 horsepower. In addition, it is combined with a 163-horse electric engine. The result: a run of 0-60 mph in 3 seconds and a maximum speed of 217 mph.
Lamborghini Aventador. Ronaldo likes this Lamborghini so much that he has two of them: one black and white the other one. With a powerful V12, 6.5L engine and 700 hp, the Aventador accelerates 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 229 mph.
CR7 Cars
CR7’s luxury car collection also stores models such as Ferrari 599 GTO, Ferrari 812 Superfast, Rolls Royce Phantom, McLaren MP4 12C, Porch 911 Turbo S, Maserati Grand Cabrio, Audi RS6, and a Range Rover RSV. Ronaldo prefers them extremely sporty —no doubt about it.
Messi Cars
On the opposite goal, Lionel Messi goes for luxury family cars, especially high-powered SUVs.
Audi Q7. Every year, this German automaker, an FC Barcelona sponsor, offers a car to each player in Barça’s professional team. The model the Argentine star chooses the most is the sporty all-terrain Q7 SUV. With a 6L, V12 engine and 500 hp, this elegant family car offers safety, speed and 4×4 power.

Range Rover. This is one of Lionel Messi’s favorite brands. He’s been seen driving various models, such as the Evoque and the RSV, both in Spain and Argentina. The RSV is one of the fastest and most powerful off-roaders in the world. It comes with a strong 5L, V8 petrol engine, 575 hp, and accelerates 0-60 mph in only 4.5 seconds.
Dodge Charger SRT8. Not everything is SUVs in Leo’s garage. This classic American “muscle car” offers a long list of features for five passengers. Its engine is equally impressive: 6.2L, V8 HEMI Hellcat and 707 hp.
These powerful models also made it into Messi’s car collection: Cadillac Escalade, Lexus LX570, Audi A7 and Porsche Panamera. And we also found some supercars, like Audi R8, Maserati Gran Turismo and Ferrari F430 Spider.
In this match, the cars of Messi and Ronaldo show their different tastes and reflect their opposite tempers: CR7 is notoriously self-confident whereas his nemesis is a monk in comparison.
So, what collection won, Messi’s or Ronaldo’s? Should they better go for a penalty shootout? ■
