Nautical events and auto shows have taken up a very prominent place in today’s international luxury calendar. Below are main events for this month showcasing the most current and luxurious boats and cars within the industry.
Cars:
The Mondial de l’Automobile de Paris.
While many important events take place in October, such as the Orange County International Auto Show or the Sacramento Motor Show, all the lights of the automotive industry are centered in Paris. The Mondial de L’auto is one of the most important car shows in the world. With 120 years of history, a majority of the main car brands gather at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles to showcase their latest models and prototypes.
The most anticipated event from the car show is the Audi showcase, which will showcase its Q8 2019 luxury SUV and the impressive 100% electric SUV e-Tron, two state-of-the-art family vehicles that signal the future of the brand. These high-end brands are joined by the latest models of companies such as Porsche, Jaguar, Tesla, Rolls Royce and Maserati, among many others.

Acura NSX 2016 at the Miami International Auto Show
Another event to consider during October is the Miami International Auto Show. Held between October 5 and 13, this show brings together the best cars in the industry in South Florida.
Among the Miami International Auto Show’s presentations and activities, two of them stand out due to their importance and tradition. The first is a presentation of the new Genesis G70 2019, the new medium sedan of the luxury brand of the South Korean Hyundai. With this model, the oriental brand will compete directly with the Mercedes Benz C-Class, the BMW 3 Series and the Audi A4. The Genesis G70 is one of the most anticipated new cars of the 2018/2019 season.
The second offers the perfect setting for the auto show’s traditional “Topless In Miami,” outdoor event that brings together the best convertibles in the industry. For this 2018 edition, the Mercedes Benz AMG S63 Cabriolet model is one of the most anticipated cars.
As for what’s happening on the other side of the world, the Qatar Motor Show will take place between October 17 and 21. Over the years, the Qatari lounge has become one of the most important car shows in the Gulf, a very important luxury market due to the economic power of the sheikhs and entrepreneurs related to oil. For this reason, the most important brands in the world congregate to seduce a fanatical clientele of cars and personalization. The unmissable event will take place at the Convention and Exhibition Center of the beautiful city of Doha.

The best way to see the most important boats in the industry is by visiting nautical events such as those in Cannes or Miami. But in the month of October, the two events that capture all the attention are the Barcelona Boat Show and the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show.
This fair will take place between the 10th and the 14th of this month, in the Fira Barcelona complex of the Gran Vía, and will house more than 700 boats of all sizes. The event will feature a variety of medium-sized boats, such as the spectacular Astondoa 377 Coupe, a 38-foot sport yacht, which could be an excellent complementary vessel for large yachts.
In addition, the Hall will add the restaurant OneOcean Club, a gourmet gastronomic space that is complemented by a chill out area called Nautical Club Plaza, this year. The restaurant will be located at the end of the main berth of the event, known as the Muelle d’Espanya.

The following week, between October 17 and 20, the nautical world moves to the Abu Dhabi Exhibitions Center. The splendid emirate will organize the attractive Abu Dhabi International Boat Show, a unique event aimed at the most exclusive segment of the industry, which demonstrates all the touristic and strategic power of the area. Apart from the presentation of hundreds of boats from more than 180 international shipyards such as Azimut, Benetti, Ferretti, Heesen Yachts, Prestige, Princess Yachts, Riva and Sunreef Yachts, excellent nautical competitions will be held. During the event, the Jet Ski Freestyle Championship and the Formula 1 Sports Boat Championship will take place.
