The new Lamborghini Reventon combines Italian passion for craftsmanship and design with Audi´s German engineering. Some of the design features inherited from Audi are the headlamps (with daylight running lights), and special heatproof LEDs that show a triple arrow optical effect at the rear.
The Reventon is mechanically very similar to the Lamborghini Murciélago. They share the same 6.45 V12 engine. However, the Reventon is an upgrade from the 640 hp of the Murciélago to 650 hp. The car can reach speeds of 60 mph in 3.3 seconds.
The design of this luxury vehicle was inspired by a military plane, with exterior color reminiscent of the F-22 Raptor fighter aircraft. The front of the Reventon is shaped like an arrow to enhance the intake of air, which is used to cool the 12 cylinder calipers and disk brakes. This shape also improves the car’s aerodynamics and the interior cooling system.
Only 20 of these super cars were made. An additional car, the 0/20, was made exclusively for the Lamborghini Museum. Owners of the Reventon include car collector Ken Lingenfelter and Chechen President, Ramzan Kadyrov. Its price is 1.6 million. ■
