Without a doubt, Azimut Yachts will be one of the stars of the Cannes Yachting Festival 2018, coming up this September 11 to 16. The Italian brand’s best vessels will be on full display at the event: the yacht maker will be debuting three of its latest 2018 models: the Azimut S6, Azimut Grande 25 Metri, and Azimut Grande 32 Metri.
Azimut was founded in 1969 by Paolo Vitelli. With a home base in Avigliana, near Turin, the company currently has five series of yachts between thirty-four and 120 feet. Their ships are famous for meticulous and painstaking attention to detail, innovation, and reliability.
The smallest of the new line is the elegant and sporty Azimut S6. Measuring only fifty nine feet in length, the S6 offers ample and comfortable common areas for up to six guests. The exquisite interior, designed by Francesco Guida, is notable for its clean lines and efficiency. In contrast, the exterior, designed by Stefano Righini, is an obvious testament to the sporty character of this vessel. Three Volvo IPS 700 motors with 550 horsepower allow for a maximum acceleration of 35 knots, and a cruising velocity of 30 knots.
Big reveals
In addition to the new S6, Azimut will also launch two models from its Grande line: an eighty-two foot model, and a 105-foot model, each with the capacity for ten guests.
The first of these, the Grande 25 Metri, has an innovative main salon designed by Achille Salvagni. Rather than divide this space into a living and dining room, a typical layout on yachts, the large area has a modular construction that allows it to serve multiple purposes: it quickly becomes a dinning room thanks to foldable tables hidden within fixed units. The tables can then be put away when not in use.
At its most powerful, the Azimut Grande 25 Metri can reach a maximum of 29 knots.

The largest of Azimut’s models debuting at Cannes is the Azimut Grande 32 Metri. For this vessel, the ship maker set out to design a yacht with large, bright spaces. For example, the main deck measures an impressive 753 square feet. Passengers will be able to enjoy several open air areas here, including a dinning area, a sitting area, and a solarium with a jacuzzi on the bow.
To guarantee a bright interior, large windows dominate the indoor spaces. The main stateroom spreads the width of the beam; starboard and port side floor-to-ceiling windows allow bright sunlight to fill the room.
