For four generations, the Boüard de Laforest family has been producing superb wines in their Château Angelus in Saint-Emilion, a small and beautiful town near Bordeaux. This renowned winery, surrounded by winding vines, is situated in the middle of a natural amphitheater encircled by the three ancient churches of Saint-Emilion, which at noon ring their bells, evoking the times in which grape growers stopped their chores to thank God and pray the Angelus. That old tradition gives its name to one of the winery’s best vintages, Chateau Angelus, a wine that stands out for its rich violet hue with aromas of red and black fruits, licorice, and mineral touches.
