Alabaster
Best New Restaurant
Located at 9 Montalbán, close to Retiro Park, Alabaster opened its doors just a few months ago. The restaurant serves Galician cuisine in a harmonic, bold setting. Careful presentation, exquisite elaboration and a curated combination of products have earned then a reputable international following. Oscar Marcos and Francisco Ramírez are in charge of the kitchen.
Ten con Ten
Most Acclaimed Restaurant by the Public
Ten con Ten is the new project by Marta Seco and Sandro Silva. Different and relaxed, the restaurant responds to today’s aesthetics with a great deal of quality and elegance. It is located in a multifunctional space at 6 Ayala street, near Madrid’s emblematic Gran Vía. Guests will find modern cuisine with great respect for tradition, in an environment of impeccable taste. As we enter, we discover a huge rectangular bar, where the experienced barman prepares snacks and delicious cocktails. The different dining areas conspire to create a sophisticated and comfortable environment.
La Manduca de Azagra
Best Cared Product
This restaurant, located at number 14 Sagasta, boasts the most cordial staff serving richly nuanced gastronomic treasures from northern Spain. Frequented by intellectuals and glitterari, La Manduca de Azagra has become a meeting place where the food is as important as the friendly conversation. In an architecturally unique setting, designed by architect Francisco Mangado, the guests are privy to a remarkably authentic dining experience.
Lakasa
Best Informal Restaurant
Located at 26 Raimundo Fernández Villaverde Street, Lakasa’s culinary philosophy emerges from the creativity of César Martín, a chef who takes the best products of the season to create unmistakable dishes, presented with a subtle touch of modernity that reflects the artistic surroundings. The wine list and the excellent service, under the direction of Marina Launay, deserve some of the credit for this award. ■
