The first annual French Riviera Film Festival (FRFF) is set to have its world premiere during the star-studded Festival de Cannes, on May 18 and 19, 2019 at Eden Hôtel & Spa on the fashionable Rue d’Antibes.
Produced by Cloud21 International and Kultura PR International, FRFF was created to revere short form content created for film, television, web and all digital platforms. Set in the glamorous Côte d’Azur, the festival places the spotlight on the best film content in the world today and invites filmmakers from around the globe to join in the celebration. The festival will feature world premiere screenings, VIP receptions, an awards ceremony and a closing gala.
“We’re delighted that 2019 will be the year we will launch our festival,” says Gotham Chandna, founder, Cloud 21 International. “We have been in discussions for several years with various international partners regarding creating a European film festival, and unanimously decided that the South of France will be the perfect backdrop for our event.”
A prestigious jury panel of top industry executives and media will select Best Drama Short, Best Comedy Short, Best Documentary Short, Best Animation Short, Best Experimental Short, Audience Favorite Award, Best Director Award, Best Actor Award, Best Actress Award, as well as special Industry Awards.
Nicole Muj, founder, Kultura PR International, adds, “We believe that holding our inaugural event in Cannes, the home of the most prestigious film festival in the world, will be the perfect opportunity to celebrate short form content within the global film community.”
FRFF’s Advisory Board includes some of the top names in the industry, including Michael Benoraya, founder, International Film Trust, who will also serve on the festival’s jury, Larry Namer, president & CEO, Metan Global Entertainment Group, our own Ana B. Remos, vice president, editorial director & founder, azureazure.com, and Daphna Edwards Ziman, president, Cinémoi USA.
Bodvár House of Rosés, THE rosé of the south of France, is the official wine sponsor of the festival.

Since joining forces, Cloud 21 and Kultura PR have been taking the entertainment and lifestyle promotion space by storm. The collaboration of Gotham Chandna and Nicole Muj began at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival when they handled the PR for international Indian superstar Nawazuddin Siddiqui for the film “Raman Raghav 2.0,” directed by Anurag Kashyap, part of the Director’s Fortnight.
Since then, their partnership of social media, digital marketing and public relations has seen a meteoric rise with the duo having produced many high profile events, including “The Salute to Akira Kurosawa” press event, presented by China’s Jinke Entertainment at Cannes 2017 – the biggest news of the festival that year.
In 2018, the duo also produced the very successful “Global Film Showcase” event, co-presented with Russia’s ROSKINO, “Indie Film Showcase” at Sundance 2018, National Rosé Day Celebration held in June in Marina del Rey, CA, along with the upcoming “Production Without Borders” event scheduled for November 5 in Santa Monica, CA.
The launch of FRFF truly marks a new milestone for the partners. ■
