Among the most anticipated featured artists, you’ll enjoy the work of Singapore’s Sherman Ong, Norberto Roldán from the Philippines, and the great Manolo Valdés, among others. Thai textile designer and artist Ploenchan Vinyaratn create a piece titled Netscape, where she introduces her emblematic hand woven textiles. Vinyaratn is a graduate of London’s Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, an award-wining designer, and the owner of Bangkok’s Beyond Living studio

The fair will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Dadaism as a nod to the past. To commemorate the spirit of the influential art movement from the early 20th century, visitors will be privy to a selection of special events. Dada on Tour is a multimedia tent installation brought to Singapore by the Bruno Art Group. Cabaret Voltaire – birthplace of Dadaism in Zurich, and Marcel Janco and his cooperation with Dada 100 Zurich 2016 aim to elucidate the relevance of this movement that continues to influence new generations of artists.

As the centerpiece of Singapore Art Week, Art Stage Singapore introduces the Southeast Asian Forum for the first time to provide a new vision of contemporary art that raises awareness and emphasizes the balance between art, commerce, and content. To grow the capabilities of Singaporean artists, the fundamental idea is to encourage an exchange of art and ideas. This edition focuses on the theme of urbanization featuring artists involved with the region’s increasingly urban landscape.

The event will once again be held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Center with an area of approximately 183,000 square feet. Organizers expect to break last year’s attendance record of 51,000 visitors.
