This is arguably the world´s most powerful luxury sedan. Its renewed 6.0 l W 12 engine puts out a maximum force of 625 HP. This car can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h (60 mph) in 4.6 seconds, and reach a top speed of 320 km/h (200 mph).

To take advantage of the technical features and benefits at this level, the Flying Spur has all-wheel drive, with force distribution of 40% on the front axle and 60% on the rear wheels. The eight-speed automatic transmission has been improved from the six-speed gearbox of its predecessor.

The Flying Spur is a variation on the four-door Bentley Continental GT. It has the same sporting spirit, but surpasses the GT model in interior space and comfort As a matter of fact, very few cars on the market measure up to its quality and luxury.

Every inch of the serene cabin was manufactured using traditional methods at the factory in Crewe (England), from the veneers, waist rails, dashboards and organ-stop air vent controls, to the hand-upholstered leather seats, which are proudly signed by the artisans who make them.

This car makes us feel as if we were flying in first class. The rear seats, for example, are fitted with ventilation, heating and massage functions. Passengers can operate via remote control the advanced multimedia and touch screen infotainment system, which includes two 10-inch LCD screens and two DVD players with USB ports, HDMI connections and SD card slots, all with integrated Wi-Fi access to surf the Internet and check email.

The environment inside remains one of absolute calm thanks to a state-of-the-art insulation and soundproofing system installed on the doors and floors.

If all these details aren’t exclusive enough, the Flying Spur Mulliner raises the bar a notch. Mulliner is a historic coachbuilder, much admired by the most demanding British motorists since the beginning of the 20th century, although they have been building carriages since 1760. This version incorporates elegant elements such as padded seats with diamond-shaped motifs, which give a unique character to the interior space. ■
