Google co-founder Sergey Brin, and designers Diane Von Furstenberg and Yvan Mispelaere.
Google Co-founder Sergey Brin, expressed that beauty, style and comfort are important components behind this concept. The concrete example of this belief is the collaboration with renowned designer Diane von Furstenberg for her Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York runway show. The eyewear was a complimentary accessory to the polka dots, sculpted ruffles and color-blocking ensembles of the models.
Backstage von Furstenberg wore pair of these glasses, and the entire show was recorded through a built-in camera on the right side of its frame. DVF was founded in 1972, and since then it has grown to become a global luxury lifestyle brand with four full collections and a range of accessories that include shoes, handbags, leather goods, scarves, eyewear, fine jewelry, watches and luggage. DVF has also entered the home through a collection of tabletop sets, bedding sets and rugs. The designer’s signature fragrance DIANE has also entered the market. Forbes Magazine named Diane von Furstenberg as the most powerful woman in fashion in 2012. Her collaboration with Google is a timely match. ■
