Vacheron Constantin has opened its first boutique in Russia in the heart of Moscow at Berlin House 5, Petrovska Street just a few steps from the Bolshoi Theatre. To celebrate, the legendary Swiss firm presented an exclusive collection of four limited edition models created especially for the occasion, including new versions of two of its iconic models: Patrimony and Traditionnelle.

The Traditionnelle Moscow Boutique Edition, limited to only 30 copies has 144 parts and 36 jewels and is built in a platinum case with a sapphire crystal case back. Its dial is black opal with white gold hour and minute hands. The black alligator skin strap is also hand sewn. With only 20 copies, the Patrimony Retrograde Day & Date Moscow Boutique is another marvel of this particular collection. It has 283 components and 27 jewels, on a platinum, white gold and black opal case. Equipped with a double complication, it beats at the rhythm of 28,000 vibrations per hour with a 40-hour power reserve. It comes with a black leather strap.

Meanwhile, the Patrimony Perpetual Calendar Moscow Boutique integrates 276 parts and 36 jewels in an 18 K white gold case. The magnificent timepiece features the days of the week, date and a counter of up to 48 months, plus leap years and moon phases. The model is limited to only 30 copies, and the calendar will not need any manual corrections until March 1, 2100.

The star of the new collection is undoubtedly a unique piece known as Patrimony Traditionnelle Calibre 2253 Moscow Boutique. This exceptional timepiece with 457 parts and 30 jewels boast a perpetual calendar and astronomical calculations, with the particularity that it tells sunrise and sunset time only for the city of Moscow.

Vacheron Constantin, which has been creating works of art since 1755, is the oldest Swiss manufacturer in continuous operation. In 1901, it obtained its first Geneva Seal certification, the emblem of the purest Geneva watchmaking tradition. Each piece in the new Moscow Boutique Edition collection holds the Geneva Seal as a guarantee of excellence.

The ties between Russia and the prestigious Swiss label date back to 1819, when Vacheron Constantin delivered the first repeater watch to Prince Potemkin. Since then, the Russian elite has shown a marked preference for the luxurious and exclusive pieces designed by the firm. To celebrate the inauguration of its boutique in Moscow, several jewels from Vacheron Constantin´s heritage are also on display, including the King Fouad I watch made in 1929, and the Tour de l’Île, created in 2005. ■
