Catalan Caramelized Custard

Ingredients
0.8. liter of milk
0.2 liter of cream
8 egg yolks
1 vanilla pod
Lemon rind
7 oz. sugar
Preparation
The first thing to do is heat the milk in a saucepan with the vanilla pod and lemon rind. Meanwhile, beat the egg yolks with the sugar. Then mix the beaten eggs with hot milk, vanilla pods and lemon peel until it thickens. Pour the cream into ceramic molds, bake at 176 ° F for one hour and a half. Remove and let cool in the refrigerator. At serving time, place a layer of brown sugar over the custard and fire until caramelized. Hope you like it. ■
