Riva’s new flagship is a 35-ton, 125-foot long aluminum construction inspired by the Domino 86 model. Mauro Micheli, who along with Sergio Beretta founded Officina Italiana Design, has modernized the firm’s main stylistic features in a sleek design. Together they created a distinctive model that features clean lines, meticulous attention to detail and noble materials—such as steel, wood and leather—that give each Riva yacht its elegant and timeless style.
As Micheli expressed, “we are not interested in ‘showy’ yachts. We love a classic and pure design, where the key is removing, rather than adding. Our goal is to reach the essence of a unique and unmistakable style, where innovation can coexist in harmony in the traditional way of building yachts.”
More than 50 specialists worked over 18 months to create a high-tech yacht that delivers great comfort and the highest performance in its class. The standard version has 3 or 4 cabins, and there is an additional option that comes with five cabins.
With two MTU 12 V 4000 M 93L engines of 3,510 horsepower, the majestic vessel can reach a top speed of 28.5 knots and a cruising speed of 26 knots. In addition, the Riva Mythos has been manufactured with ecological awareness as its engines are designed to lessen the massive emissions of carbon dioxide as much as possible. More luxury superyachts.
The exterior of the Riva Mythos is silver, and its interior features a dining room and living room with a spacious open plan. The interior is accented with luxurious design objects, such as Bottega Conticelli carpets and exquisite Oluce lamps. The kitchen has state-of-the-arts appliances, and the cabins are decorated with beautiful woods in dark shades, highlighted by African leather details.
The outdoor areas are as impressive as the interior spaces and offer its passengers convenient amenities like a relaxing soak in the hot tub or a romantic dinner under the stars.
“With Riva Mythos we wanted to preserve and promote the unique style of one of the most prestigious yacht brands of today,” said Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group. “At the same time, we have invested in innovation and technology to build a large vessel with higher performance, offering the most advanced navigation experience.” ■
