Following the development of stunning recreational vehicles like the eleMMent Palazzo and the CR-1 Carbon, we bring you a new project that heralds the future of the much-loved caravan. We are talking about Caravisio, a new concept from the German firm Knaus Tabbert GmbH, which was recently introduced at the Caravans Exhibition in Birmingham, England. During the past five decades, the company has continually produced innovative ideas and products, and it currently has a broad range of high-quality caravans, campers and motorhomes.
Their lastest concept, Caravisio was created to raise interest in camping as a special way to take a different vacation that is in tune with nature, but without giving up the comforts of modern life. The Caravisio caravan, made of fiberglass, comes equipped with the kind of amenities that wouldn’t look out of place on a luxury yacht. It has been designed and developed in collaboration with a multidisciplinary group of experts, resulting in arduous amounts of work that has lasted several years. Its exterior has excellent aerodynamics, with a sleek, futuristic bullet-shaped appearance, and inside, its double-pane frosted glass sliding door can be made fully transparent at the touch of a button.
At almost 9 meters (30 feet) long and 2.5 meters (8 feet) wide, Caravisio has single beds, arranged in a V shape at the front, which can be converted into a comfortable double bed. During the day, the bed converts into a spacious sofa where passengers can enjoy a great panoramic view through the large window.
When the weather is nice, the back of the Caravisio opens up to form a pleasant outdoor terrace with a seating area. Other luxury amenities this luxurious caravan has a bathroom at the front of the vehicle, which comes equipped with a shower and a water control system with a storage function that is regulated by means a touch screen. In addition, with little effort, the living room can be transformed into a modern work room where the cushions inside the caravan can be adjusted in different positions, creating ergonomic seats.
But the best thing about the Caravisio model is its use of some of the most advanced technology in the market, as it comes equipped with a modern system called (APP), which is controlled through an iPad or iPhone that uses activated printing biometric security technology to remotely control the lights, heating and entertainment systems, the caravan also comes equipped with a large cinema with a modern projection system and a wine cooler.
“This new caravan model is an exciting and innovative concept that illustrates the future of caravans,” said Alex Wehrmann, Knaus Tabbert GmbH spokesman, during the presentation of the Caravisio.
The Caravisio is a luxury recreational vehicle developed with the latest technology to provide maximum comfort. Priced at approximately US$ 800,000, it should be available for purchase in about two years. ■
