Pierre Marcolini: The Belgian Lure
The Belgians invented the praline, a chocolate with almonds or hazelnuts. Chocolatier Pierre Marcolini displays a subtle refinement making the delicious chocolate which bears his name. In addition to the headquarters in Brussels, he has other six stores there, as well as many others locales throughout Belgium, France, Japan, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Monaco and the UK.
Pierre Marcolini is redeemed for his passion for creating some of the finest chocolates in the world. He was born in 1964 in the Belgian city of Charleroi, and his inspiration comes from his family and his Italian heritage. From a very young age, he knew he wanted to be a chocolatier, and he never relented in his efforts. In 1993 he was recognized as the best pastry chef in the world.
Pierre Marcolini is synonymous with the highest quality. If you are especially fond of unique and original treats, you will delight in his creations like fruit flavored crisp pralines and chocolates flavored with patchouli, sandalwood, and oak.
Teuscher: Swiss Pride and Tradition
In 1769, the mayor of the Swiss city of Zurich, Henry Escher, visited Brussels and was so captivated by the taste of a hot concoction they prepared for him that he took the chocolate back to his city. Zurich quickly became one of the leading producers of chocolate in the world.
This prodigious passion may have been driven by Zurich’s famous chocolate companies, which were worship for many. Among the most noteworthy is Teuscher, which was founded more than 80 years ago. Its master chocolatiers travel the world in search of the best cocoa, marzipan, fruits and nuts, which they use to create more than 100 varieties of chocolates with original recipes free of additives and preservatives.
At its Zurich facility, Teuscher prepares its sweet creations. Packaged in its original and elegant containers, the sweets are immediately transferred to their shops in the city, as well as throughout the rest of Europe, the United States, Canada, Asia and Middle East. Some of their most popular treats are their chocolate truffles filled with champagne and marzipan, the chocolates with orange and the exclusive pralines. ■
