The Maserati International Polo Tour recently held one of its charity matches at the historic Beaufort Polo Club, in Gloucestershire, England. In this occasion, Team Maserati played against Team Dhamani 1969. H.R.H. Prince William of Wales was the guest of honor of Team Maserati, also integrated by famous English polo player Malcolm Borwick, Bruce Merivale-Austin, Josh Cork, among others.
The Duke of Cambridge competed on behalf of two charitable causes he holds very close to his heart: Centrepoint and the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which he presides. His team won the match by 6 to 5 ½.
This is the fifth year that the luxury car brand partners with the Argentine brand of clothing and polo equipment La Martina, both as sponsors of this event. Maserati also entertained the attendees with an exhibition of its latest models.
The polo tour will resume next July 25 in Spain with the 47th International Polo Tournament, which will take place at the Santa María Polo Club in Sotogrande, Málaga. The Final Cup, the last match of the tournament, will be held on August 31. ■
