The Dutch shipyard Oceanco has a proud tradition of building the most luxurious yachts with excellent performance and the latest technology. And as part of its avant-garde legacy, the company is the first to deliver a vessel certified by the Passenger Yacht Code. This new designation identifies the luxury yachts whose construction benefit from input from their owners in order to customize and maximize their comfort. Information about some of the world's most luxurious yachts.
The result of this joint effort is Equanimity, a spacious and very luxurious yacht of 300 feet in length, with a capacity for 26 passengers and 28 crewmembers. It boasts a master stateroom of enormous dimensions that includes a private study, lounge and relaxation room, en-suite bathrooms and a terrace with Jacuzzi. For guests, the vessel offers three very large VIP cabins with spectacular views, three double cabins and three rooms with twin beds, all with their private bathrooms.
When it comes to style, the vast interiors of the Equanimity were decorated by Andrew Winch Designs Studio, featuring materials such as Wenge wood, bamboo, and marble, which reflect a clearly Asian inspired decor.
In addition to its very large lounges and dining rooms, the yacht stands out for its magnificent health and wellness facilities, including a spa with Turkish bath, massage showers, relaxation pools, beauty salon, sauna, and a solarium that can be adapted and integrated to the outdoor decks. All this is complemented by an impressive 215 sq. ft. indoor swimming pool.
The list of amenities requested by the owner—a Chinese businessman who prefers to remain anonymous— also includes a helipad, a planch for direct water access, a theater, underwater lighting, air conditioning in all indoor spaces, a garage and two luxury dinghy boats. This elegant floating mansion is also equipped with Zero speed stabilization systems to make navigation more comfortable, and its steel and aluminum hull —designed by Oceanco Ice Class E—allows it to navigate on glacial waters.
The ship has huge fuel tanks with a capacity for 271,000 liters and— thanks to two extremely powerful MTU engines of 4,828 horsepower and 3,600 kW—it can reach a top speed of 20 knots.
The Equanimity, a jewel of naval engineering, is already sailing the world's most remote seas and is the perfect example of superyacht customization today. ■
