In industrial design, black is usually classified as a difficult color because it doesn’t look warm, friendly, attractive and, above all, striking. However, it is still a color that, well used, has an elegance and delicacy other shades can hardly show. This is the case of the new timepiece created by H. Moser & Cie; that dazzles with its delicate, elegant, slender and minimalist aesthetic.
Enter the new Endeavour Tourbillon. This latest creation by H. Moser & Cie features an automatic 21,600 VPN system, with a solid gold rotor and a surprising reserve of 72 hours. The timepiece is assisted by a beautiful tourbillon visible in the position of 6 o'clock on the main dial, a characteristic detail in the models of this prestigious Swiss watch manufacturing firm.
In this case, however, the tourbillon is not the only complication. The piece offers a second needle that can be configured with a complementary time zone. This red needle is hidden behind the main needle and when activated appears moving in a smooth motion, to show the time of the second selected area. It is a simple but captivating gadget.
This particular dance of time zones occurs over a main dial made of polished rhodium (a very rare type of platinum), with a satin texture that shows its natural color in the center and gets darker towards the ends, exhibiting the characteristic fumé aesthetics of this brand.
The main body of the watch, with a diameter 40.8 mm and a thickness of 11.3 millimeters is made in titanium DLC, and finely decorated with a combination of polished and satin-textured surfaces that highlight the noble quality of the material. DLC titanium is a hard metal, particularly difficult to work but excellent for the user thanks to its extraordinary durability and resistance to impact and scratches, besides being pleasant to the touch. The back crystal reveals the internal mechanism and the main gold rotor that feeds the automatic system. The watch is engraved with the name of the manufacturer and serial number. This is an exclusive edition, limited to only 20 copies.
To complete its dark elegance, the watchband was designed in crocodile leather dyed in a black as dark as night, with a matte texture and visible stitching to highlight the brightness of the main dial.
The H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Tourbillon is a piece of Haute Horlogerie that features a last generation precision mechanism and focuses its attention on the quality of the materials that make up the mechanism, emphasizing the subtlety of its operation. Twenty lucky owners will enjoy this elegant and distinguished masterpiece of l'horlogerie Suisse for a price of about $ 75,000 a unit. ■
